தர்மம் வெல்லும்

மனிதர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் ஏன் வருகிறது? கடோபனிஷ விளக்கம் எழுதியிருந்த பதிவர் மிகச் சரியாக வார்த்தைகளை எழுதி இருந்தார். இன்பம், நன்மை இரண்டில் பெரும்பாலானோர் இன்பத்தை மட்டுமே தேர்ந்தெடுக்கின்றனர். நன்மையை விட்டு விடுகின்ற காரணத்தால் துன்பம் வருகிறது. இன்பம் என்பது மின்னல் போன்றது. தோன்றிய உடனே மறைந்து விடும். நன்மை என்பது உண்மை போன்றது. அது எப்போதுமே இன்பத்தை வாரி வழங்கக் கூடியது.

புரியும்படியாகச் சொல்ல வேண்டுமானால் நாக்கிற்கு டேஸ்ட்டியான உணவை உண்பது இன்பம் எனலாம். அதே உடலுக்கு நன்மை தரும் உணவு உண்பது நன்மை எனலாம். 

தர்மம் என்பது எங்கே இருக்கிறது என்று சில நேரம் எண்ண வைத்து விடும். ஆனால் அது என்றைக்கேனும் ஒரு நாள் தன்னை வெளிப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும். இதோ ரெட்டி பிரதர்ஸ் இன்றைக்கு ஜெயிலில் கிடக்கின்றார்கள். ஜெயில் என்பது பெரிய விஷயமல்ல என்று நினைக்கலாம். ஆனால் ரெட்டி பிரதர்ஸுக்கு ஜெயில் என்பது மிகப் பெரும் உயிர் வதை. ஏன் என்று கேட்கின்றீர்களா? இதோ விளக்கம்.

You name it and he has it. Reddy, 44, constructed a three-storied complex next to his residence in Bellary meant only for his children to frolic around. Reddy's kids never go out for security reasons, while select children of the locality and those of his associates come and play in the complex. 

He's donated a diamond-studded crown worth over Rs 40 crore to Tirupati, and has another at his residence in Bellary. As one enters his house, the diamond-studded crown revolves on a sandalwood carving, illuminated by light. 

Reddy owns an apartment, Parijat, next to Taj West End, a 5-star hotel in Bangalore where he has a permanent room. A number of luxury cars line the Reddy homes, ranging from Bentleys and Mercs to the latest SUVs and Range Rovers. Holidaying in exotic locations around the world is his favourite pastime. 

During the mining boom a couple of years ago, the Reddy brothers would heli-hop between Bellary and Bangalore even for lunch or dinner. But things have not been the same for them over the past year and they are increasingly hitting the roads with their SUVs. Reddy had three helicopters but now owns only one. 

Reddy, who once owed debtors several crores of rupees in the late 1990s, a decade later admitted that he and his wife alone have assets worth over Rs 150 crore, thanks to his mining business. He's spent over Rs 30 lakh just to illuminate the hill adjoining his house in Bellary. 

His conference room, named Kuteera, is meant for political purposes, where a visitor is welcomed with huge portraits of former PM A B Vajpayee, senior leader L K Advani, opposition leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and former CM B S Yeddyurappa. Reddy's house is like a fortress: a visitor has to pass three checkposts with scanners and bomb detectors, and gun-toting securitymen are common in his house.

உண்மைக்கு என்றைக்குமே வலிமை உண்டு. அதை அன்னா ஹசாரே தற்போது நிரூபித்தார். காந்தியின் ”சத்திய சோதனை” புத்தகத்தை படித்த போது, அந்தக் காலம் வேறு இந்தக் காலம் வேறு என்று நினைத்தேன். ஆனால் அதே சத்தியமும், உண்மையும் இன்று காங்கிரஸ் அரசை கிடுகிடுக்க வைத்தன.

நேர்மையாக தொழில் செய்பவர்கள் எவராலும் குறுகிய காலத்தில் முன்னுக்கு வருவது என்பது நடக்கக் கூடிய ஒன்று அல்ல. கிடுகிடு வளர்ச்சி என்பது சட்டத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக வந்தால் இப்படிப்பட்ட சம்பவங்களையும் “சத்தியம்” நடத்தியே தீரும்.

ஏழு நட்சத்திர வாழ்க்கை நடத்தியவர்கள் என்றாலும் செய்த பலனை அனுபவித்தே ஆக வேண்டும்.
